A warm welcome to Dr. Eric Krause, GRA Distinguished Investigator!
We are honored to announce the appointment of Eric Krause as a Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Distinguished Investigator at Georgia State University. With international acclaim, Dr. Krause is a luminary in the field, dedicated to unraveling how the brain and peripheral nervous system collaborate to shape behavioral and physiological responses to stress.
Recently joining us as a Professor in the Neuroscience Institute and a core member of the Center for Neuroinflammation and Cardiometabolic Diseases (CNCD), Dr. Krause brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Previously serving as the Director of the Center for Integrative Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease at the University of Florida, Gainesville, his contributions have earned him accolades from numerous scientific organizations.
Dr. Krause’s research program delves deep into the neural circuits and molecular mechanisms that choreograph the intricate dance of behavioral, neuroendocrine, and autonomic responses to stress. Through this groundbreaking work, he aspires to not only comprehend but also alleviate stress-related afflictions, ranging from anxiety and depression to hypertension and obesity.
We extend our wholehearted welcome to Dr. Krause, and eagerly anticipate the transformative impact his research will have on our community and the broader scientific landscape.
